TCM have undertaken Japanese knotweed eradication on a number of sites within Wigan’s Economic Development Zone…TCM have more recently been involved in a process of treatment over a longer period of time on the site which was deemed necessary for Japanese knotweed next to watercourses and also for eradication of Giant Hogweed. All chemicals used within the treatment processes, I have been informed, have been fully approved by DEFRA. This was a particular issue on Westwood Park with the proximity of The Site of Biological Interest, thus protecting existing flora and fauna.

All eradication work to-date has been undertaken successfully (as well as on time and to budget) and guarantees for these works issued were appropriate.

Local Authorities

Local Authorities

As custodians of all types of land use, local authorities have an eclectic mix of Japanese knotweed and invasive weed management requirements for which we can offer a variety of tailored solutions. We understand solutions for remediation work and development often need to meet projects’ funding requirements plus the need for the local authority to make cost effective choices for other work that we undertake.

Since 2005, we have been actively involved with the Cornish Knotweed Forum, working with them to develop improved strategies that enhance results for our clients.
