The TCM method for Japanese Knotweed eradication has been in development since 2000. The company has built upon its experience and incorporated the guidelines given in the Environment Agency’s Code of Practice for the Management, Destruction and Disposal of Japanese Knotweed (May 2001).
During the three years since the publication of this code, TCM has independently explored ways of refining the code’s recommendations. The company has developed a method of Japanese Knotweed eradication via herbicide application and specific cultural techniques based on the application of parts of the Code, combined with practical experience of eradicating the plant in a wide range of locations.
The use of trained and experienced staff means that TCM can offer a service based on a sound understanding of the ecology and biology of the plant, and how herbicides can be harnessed to effectively treat infestations.
TCM provides a complete bespoke project management service for eradication contracts, including design and monitoring of eradication programmes.
